A few weeks ago Alex picked up this pretty cool 4-Door R32 and brought it down to the STL office so we could hang out and take a look around it for a few minutes.

In contrast to his competition spec Low Origin S14 drift car, the R32 is extremely tame by comparison. However, as I expected, the joy of being able to drive a turbocharged 90s RWD Nissan with larger profile tyres, a sensible ride height and without the fear of smashing off fibreglass was definitely wearing off on Alex.

One thing that he had mentioned was that the RB20 was taking a long time to come on boost. With a Mine’s ECU fitted the car should have been a lot more responsive than it actually was, so there was a worry that the issue might not be easy (or cheap) to resolve.

Actually, the problem was about as simple as it gets; the actuator arm clip had fallen off and the arm was no longer connected. Using a temporary fix (aka a twisted paper clip) the arm was safely reattached and the R32 happily boosted off into the distance to the sound of a crisp RB20 and one of Alex’s many vaporwave mixes.
