Zenki S14s have been involved with the drift scene since their inception, with hundreds of drivers around the world applying their own styling cues to their cars. As there isn’t too much diversity when it comes to styling these early model S14s here in the UK, the cars that are well executed with their own styling flair are usually very easy to spot. On that note, I’d like to introduce Russell’s imported S14 Silvia.
While a slammed Zenki is nothing new on these pages (check out Ed’s purple 200SX from a few years ago on these very pages, or even Russell’s Dori Labs team mates), what sets this car apart is its body kit and other accessories.
This is the only 326Power 3D STAR-kitted S14 in the UK, which was enough for it to turn necks all weekend long in the Driftland pits at Awesomeboss.
It’s the small details that make the 326Power bumpers and side skirts stand out from the obligatory Vertex/Uras/Dmax crowd, with the complex vent arrangement and intricate lines adding to their charm.
The front wings, side skirts and rear bumper also feature running light LEDs; something so small and simple and yet that’s all it takes to get noticed.
There’s no way Russell was going to let this car down with sub-par wheels, which is where the glorious WORK VS-KFs come into play, held in place by a set of 9cm 326Power Wheel Nuts. The rear wheel setup will overhauled with a matching set of VS-KFs as soon as the rear arches have been modified to accommodate stronger wheels with a lower ride height, so watch this space.
Once again, this is another car to grace these online pages that is made great by a series of small modifications that leave a lasting impression without being too in-your-face. I’ll close with a photo of these mirror covers as a perfect example; featuring running lights and indicators they’re something that helps to make this S14 look a lot younger than its mid-90s birth certificate would have you believe, with very little effort.
