It’s been a while since I last took a picture of Charlie’s CA18 powered S13 as he’s spent the winter putting in a lot of hours getting it ready for this year’s Drift Cup series. Charlie and his Owen Autobodies team mates unveiled their cars at the recent grip and drift day at Three Sisters Race Track in Wigan so I thought I’d take a few photos while I was there.

The pignose bumper and chuki sideskirts have now been replaced with a full GT1 kit, with the front bumper bearing a strong resemblance to a Nissan Type-X item, albeit on steroids. The OEM front wings have been replaced by BYBS Performance +25mm items while the vented bonnet still remains.

Out at the back and the GT1 bumper is complimented by a pair of D-Max spoilers (for the bootlid and roof, respectively), Magic Aero +30mm overfenders and a pair of 50/50 crystal lights. These are usually a bit hit or miss but I think they definitely look the part here.

The VS-KFs that the car once wore have gone (one pair of which now reside on the front of my PS13) and have been replaced by a set of 17×9.5 et12 Rota Torques all round. While many will frown at the decision to move from Works to Rotas, I don’t think anyone can deny they look the part here and suit the new style down to a tee. The rears are mounted with a 20mm spacer, while the fronts are fitted without spacers.

The interior remains relatively stripped out with only the essentials remaining, including a set of Depo gauges to monitor the faithful CA18’s vital stats.
I’m looking forward to seeing more of this car throughout the year and, all being well, I’ll be out on track with Charlie very soon.
