You’ve opened all of your presents, ate far too much turkey and nodded off in front of the telly watching Chicken Run/The Great Escape/any other traditional Christmas film (101 Dalmatians is a classic in my eyes). You’ve got a drift car parked outside with fresh rubber and a bunch of local likeminded individuals all sat at home just as bored as you. So what do you do?

You go out for some sideways fun, of course.

While some people had stayed off the booze all day in anticipation of the night’s activities, those who weren’t driving most certainly didn’t.

The amount of Christmas masks and sombreros going round made for quite a sight.

A few drivers travelled some serious distance just to join in the fun.

Although in some cases the fun was short lived. It’s a dangerous game we play and it’s inevitable that there will be some casualties along the way.

However, that didn’t stop the smiles and good vibes all round. It’s good to see people with the right attitude to this sport – incidents and problems are inevitable, so all you can do is shrug them off, take it on the chin and keep your head up. Merry Christmas to everyone that reads this blog and I hope your Christmas was just as much fun as mine.
