I couldn’t help but notice when booking my most recent trip to Japan with my girlfriend that the infamous A-Bo-Moon R32-only drift day at Motorland Mikawa would be taking place during our stay. There was no way I was going to miss an event like this, so we took the Shinkansen from Yokohama (where we were staying at the time) to Nagoya, hired an awfully slow Mazda Demio and drove out into the Aichi countryside.
I’ve got heaps of photos to share with you from the day (along with a full write-up from the event) so keep checking back for more R32 goodness. I’ve absolutely no shame in admitting I was completely overwhelmed when he approached me with a spare helmet and asked if I’d like to ride shotgun with him. It was certainly a once-in-a-lifetime event that I won’t forget anytime soon.
