Continuing the expansion of the STL! shop and improving the variety of brands that we can supply has been a major priority of mine over the last few months. As a result, it’s been great to see various customers taking advantage of the ease and transparency with which we can supply brand new wheels from Japan; one such customer recently invested in a set of RAYS VOLK’s infamous 1-piece forged TE37SLs that arrived at our office the other week.
The aforementioned customer had tried (and failed) to source a set of new TE37SL wheels in their required specs due to other potential suppliers reporting stock issues in Japan (amongst other excuses). After speaking with the customer and confirming the order, we had the wheels secured in Japan the very next day and they arrived with us in the UK just over a week later.
Measuring 18×9.5+22 and 18×10.0J+20 and finished in a beautiful Pressed Graphite colour, these wheels exuded quality. TE37s are famed for their lightweight forged construction and, while I didn’t get chance to weigh them individually outside of their packaging, each wheel (complete with individual boxes and packaging) weighed in at roughly 10kg. Considering other 1-piece wheels that we ship often weigh around 15~16kg when packaged up in boxes and it’s very apparent just how significant the weight saving is.
The customer also requested a set of RAYS L42 duralumin wheel nuts which are also supplied with locking nuts and the required key. We currently have some more sets of these in UK stock in Red M12x1.50.
