I headed over to Dan Joyce’s makeshift garage/driveway last night to pick up some bits for my Laurel and thought I’d take a few photos of his freshly built S15 while I was there.
If you’re wondering why it’s a little higher than usual (!) at the front, it’s because the engine has recently been removed so a fresh head gasket can be fitted. Imagine removing your engine setup from your old PS13, fitting it to your freshly built S15 and then discovering that the head gasket has gone, meaning you have to remove it all over again; that’s how Dan feels right now.
The engine should be ready to go back in any day now along with a freshly rebuilt TD06-20G turbo, after which the S15 will be off for a mapping session with MB Automotive.
