Anyone who’s owned Nissan S-body for a few years (or at least, any temperamental drift car) will know the familiar feelings all too well. Months of slaving away in all weather conditions seems like a pointless waste of time and effort as you cobble together your project. But then you finally get to drive it on the road for the first time in months and that other familiar feeling comes rushing back. That feeling that makes your mind yell “fuck yeah!” as you forget all about the hardship and financial ruin you’ve put yourself through to reach this point.

If you hadn’t guessed by now having read that opening paragraph, I’m finally back on the road in an S-body. After crashing my old RPS13 pretty heavily at Finalboss Matsuri back in July I was left with a not irreparable shell, but one that would need some pretty serious work to bring it back to full working order. I decided to cut my losses and set to work on the PS13 rolling shell that I’d picked up a few months prior.

Work started at the beginning of August with the car being transported to my driveway. Since then it’s been a constant battle against time, the weather and my finances to build the car outside my house. A driveway reshell isn’t something I’d personally recommend tackling by yourself but hey, needs must.

I’ll put together a proper feature and touch on more of the specs in a future post but for now enjoy some grainy shots I took of the car when I went to visit the Church of V8illuminati.
