And in one fell swoop it feels like the drift season is back underway again. The first Buxton weekender of the year took place at the weekend and, as usual, it was full of bumps, scrapes, carnage and fun.

Alex’s S14 BDC car is still undergoing its off-season rebuild so he decided to bring his beloved 300ZX along, complete with structural layers of masking tape.

He soon snapped off a number of studs from the rear left hub causing him to get stuck on track – Cal set about replacing them but in the end an entire replacement hub was used.

Tuffin’s Mx-5 is starting to look pretty cool now (note the V8illuminati sticker in the windscreen).

Max rocked up in his PS to do some spectating and lifestyling…

…along with helping me to straighten the rear end of my car after smacking the unforgiving wall.

I soon repeated the act and Alex was left to solemnly hammer out my rear quarter. All in the name of fun!
