The other month I headed to yet another circuit that could be described as “local” to myself that has recently started playing host to drifters. More commonly known for karting events and “run what you brung” style sessions for grip driving, Three Sisters is a fantastic facility and a superb track for drifting that will also be hosting a round of Drift Cup later this year. Having never seen drifting there before I hopped in Alex’s S14a, precariously balanced an 18×11 Work VS-XX on my lap as there was nowhere else to put it and headed to the venue.

Upon arrival we were greete by an extremely tired Charlie (sorry dude, couldn’t resist including this one).

Paz and his incredible AE86 were in attendance, his truly heroic Corolla driving style being far more enjoyable to watch than the comparatively lazy style associated with some of the bigger power cars.

Rich Grindrod’s BDC E36 has always ticked the right boxes and especially so now that it’s rocking wider a glorious set of Work Meisters.

And finally, the most controversial car of the moment: Mike Taylor’s Burst-influenced S13. No, I don’t think it’s cool that the car is sporting a Burst sticker (amongst other things). Yes, I do think it’s cool that Mike has been getting a great amount of seat time recently and has been driving extremely hard in a relatively basic car…and isn’t that the whole point at the end of the day?
